ALL-RUSSIAN DECORATIVE APPLIED ART MUSEUM

The All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art is the only specialized federal art museum engaged in collection, preservation, study and popularization of decorative, applied and folk art of Russia. The Museum was founded by the RSFSR Government' order of February 10, 1981. The museum's collection has become the basis for active exposition and exhibition, scientific, publishing and educational work. Every year, the Museum implements more than 30 exhibition projects at its venues, in the regions of Russia and abroad. The All-Russian Decorative Art Museum is actively involved in museum education activities. The museum center has been successfully operating for more than twenty years. Our goal is to introduce the guests of the museum to the rich world of national decorative and applied art of the XVII-XXI centuries. We invite you to excursions, permanent and seasonal educational programs for children and adults! An important part of each thematic program is creative work in the center's workshop, where after the tour, guests can create their own piece of decorative and applied art and take it with them. Workshops are also an important part of the center's programs, where, according to the impressions of getting acquainted with the originals of art, children and adults create their own creative work. Master classes are held (as part of the program or as a separate event) by the center's staff and invited artists. Museum workshops for youth and adult audiences are dedicated to the key materials and techniques of national decorative art (ceramics, wood carving and carpentry, cloisonne enamel, traditional embroidery, engraving, mosaic, stained glass). Excursions and thematic programs of the center are adapted for all categories of visitors.
