The Russian cuisine restaurant "Kalinka on Neglinka" is a new project by restaurateur Mikhail Petukhov (Loomi, "Meat Card").
The restaurant's menu combines traditional dishes based on restored recipes with modern interpretations of the most popular Russian dishes.
The main hall of the restaurant has a Russian stove and grill for cooking over an open fire, and at a separate counter, craftswomen make homemade pelmeni, vareniki, and various pies, which are then baked right there. In the center of the hall are four tables with samovars, and this is not decor, but interactive stations where guests can brew tea themselves, including from exclusive blends created especially for "Kalinka". The restaurant bar is full of various drinks in the Russian style - from kvass, fruit drinks and herbal infusions to mead, signature liqueurs and moonshine, as well as cocktails based on them.
The interior of the restaurant, designed by the architectural bureau MMZ PROJECT of Maria Zhukova, intertwines ancient Mezen painting and original tiles made by a Moscow master, hand-painted, carved wooden furniture and openwork red chandeliers.
The inspiration for the restaurant's design was the image of the Russian beauty Kalinka - modern, elegant, but at the same time carefully preserving the warmth of family traditions and generously sharing them with the world.
Like other restaurants of Mikhail Petukhov, "Kalinka on Neglinka" is a project that creates a feeling of warmth and coziness, comfortable, sincere and without unnecessary pathos. This is a place for family gatherings, comfortable business meetings and getting to know Russian cuisine and Russian taste.
