Museum of Cinema

The State Central Film Museum reviews the history of Russian cinema from the very moment of its appearance. It is located in Pavilion No. 36 in the VDNH conservation area. Guests are welcomed here by permanent exhibitions such as The Labyrinth of History, The Time of Victories and the memorial cabinet of Sergei Eisenstein, as well as temporary exhibitions. Also there are storage facilities, educational center and three cinema halls in the museum space, the equipment of which allows to screen the movies from digital and analog sources such as 16 and 35 mm film. The Film Museum houses costumes, photographs, posters, films, rare books, cinematographic equipment and personal belongings of Russian cinematographists - from the end of the XIX century to the present day. In total, there are more than 200 thousand exhibits. Educational events, lectures and other events are held here weekly, united by the theme of cinema.
