The Moscow State Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre

Musical Theater. S. Stanislavsky and Vl.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko combined the opera houses of two legendary reformers of stage art, Konstantin Sergeyevich Stanislavski and Vladimir Ivanovich Nemirovich-Danchenko. Great directors did not like the opera, presented as a «concert in costumes». They wanted opera performances to be as lively and meaningful as dramatic plays. The date of establishment of the theater is considered to be 30 December 1918. In 1939, the ballet company of Victoria Krieger joined the Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre. The fact that the first name of the company was given in honor of the Art Theatre and was called «Moscow Art Ballet» speaks about the creative aspirations of the company.
