Leaders in domestic tourism to Moscow remain the North and the South
57% of domestic tourist traffic to Moscow comes from the Top 20 Regions, led by St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region. Half of this list refers to the cities with millions of inhabitants in relative proximity to the capital, namely 2 and a half hours by air. This pattern is at least partially confirmed by the results of surveys. According to them, 34% of tourists come to Moscow spontaneously.
